Investment Services
Providing of investment services is regulated and licensed by Central Bank of Armenia. Within the scope of investment activities bank is providing the below services.
Brokerage Services
Within the scope of brokerage activity the Bank trades securities on behalf of the Bank and at the customer’s expense or on behalf of the customer and at the customer’s expense based on the customer’s orders as well as realizes other operations and activities related to the implementation of brokerage activity.
Acting as a broker, the Bank provides the following services to its customers:
- acceptance, forward and/or execution of buy/sell orders of securities, conclusion of deals with securities on behalf and at the expense of the customer
- buying securities for its customers at the Bank’s expense (marginal transactions)

Bank is member of securities clearing system in the Central Depositary of Armenia.

Custody services
Any activity associated with safekeeping and custody of securities as well as with registration and transfer of the rights on securities is considered as Custodial activity. Within the scope of Custodial activity the Bank provides to its customers the following services:
- registration of the rights and obligations arising from the customer’s holding of securities
- acting as a nominee holder of the customer’s securities
- opening and maintaining of a segregated custody account for the customer
- delivering the complete information concerning his/her securities to the customer received from the issuer, The Central Depositary and other custodians
- other services permitted by the legislation and related to the Custodial activity

Securities issuance and allocation services
Securities emission is an alternative source of funds attraction. Bank offers securities emission and allocation services to the companies, which will allow them to expand their investment programs financial facilities and manage their financial flows more effectively.
The bank offers a number of investment banking services to its potential issuers in one package:
- assistance in developing the business plan for an investment project and its evaluation
- definition of the main conditions related to the issuance of securities
- preparation of the resolution and prospectus on securities issuance as well as provision of appropriate representation in the state registration process of the prospectus
- performance of activities toward identification of potential organization of securities allocation and preparation of a report to the state authorized bodies
- other services related to the issuance, allocation, circulation and maturity of the securities

State Treasury Bills
HSBC Bank Armenia CJSC has been selected by Ministry of Finance of RoA as primary agent for middle and long term bonds market and as a dealer by Central Bank of RoA and Ministry of Finance of RoA for short term bonds market.
HSBC Bank Armenia CJSC offers market intermediary and custodian services for Treasury Bills and Treasury Bonds of RoA. Treasury Bills and Bonds are issued by Ministry of finance and Central bank of Armenia and are secured by all the property of RoA. Treasury Bills issued by Central Banks of RoA are short term with maturity up to 12 months.
T-Bonds and T-Bills issued by Ministry of Finance of RoA are short, middle and long term. T-Bills are issued with maturity term up to 12 months. Middle term T-Bonds are issued with 15 months to 5 year maturity term. Long term T-Bonds are issued with 6-30 years maturity term.
Treasury Bills and Bonds are available for purchase for persons and legal entities.
